Artwork Guidelines

At CustomTentCo, we are committed to providing the highest-quality prints in the industry. To maintain this standard and the quality of your design print, we have set up artwork guidelines that will help you understand what we need from you. Please review and follow these guidelines carefully.

If you are designing the artwork:

We have created product templates that can be accessed online in the DESIGN TEMPLATES & INSTRUCTIONS section.

Using these templates will ensure that your files are printed to the correct dimensions.

Please verify your files are "PRINT READY" before uploading the artwork.

Before you submit the artwork, there are some important points to consider to ensure that the final print will meet your expectations.

Check the size: Please recheck the graphic dimensions match the product size you are purchasing. The template files include bleed, view, and safe areas to assist with image placement.

Check the resolution: The artwork should be at 100% scale and a minimum of 125 to 150 dpi. If you want to see the actual size of the artwork, you can use the Adobe application for that.

CMYK Layout: We use CMYK values for printing. If you use the RGB values the image will vary in color.  If you need PMS color-matching options, please let us know when you place your order, and include the PMS colors in the file.

Proofreading: Please proofread the artwork before submitting it to us. We initiate the printing after we get approval from the client. We do not take responsibility for typing errors once the artwork is approved.

The file format we accept is:
We accept the following file formats: Adobe Photoshop (.tif,.jpg,.psd), and Illustrator (.ai,.eps,.pdf). If you use Pantone colors that require PMS color matching, please let us know after placing your order. Please note that all PMS colors will be converted to solid coated according to industry standards. Any fonts included in the artwork must be converted to outlines.

Linked images: Linked images from Illustrator files must be saved in *.pdf format.

Note: Special effects like transparencies, glows, or drop shadows in Illustrator are not recommended for print images. These effects are unpredictable, and the final print may not meet your expectations when done in Illustrator. Instead, consider using Photoshop to generate these effects.

Here's a step-by-step guide to setting up your file:

Download the template of any product on our website and open it in Illustrator.

Read and follow the instructions given in the template.

On the "Design Layer" create the layout for your design.
Once your layout is complete, make sure that all fonts are outlined, linked images are embedded, bleed requirements are met, and the layers are not merged.

with two separate layers Save your file as a "High Quality" PDF. One layer is for the template, and the second layer is for the design.

The file you will get is the "Print Ready" file. Upload the same file to our FTP upload link.

These steps will let you know that your file meets our artwork requirements and is ready for printing. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at sales@customtentco.com.
